Consultation & Assessment

How to Prepare
A little preparation helps your appointment go smoothly. Please review the checklist below before your visit.
- Avoid blood-thinning medicines and supplements — aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E — for about a week to limit bruising.
- Skip alcohol for 24 hours beforehand and arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
- If you are prone to cold sores and considering lip filler, tell us in advance so we can prescribe preventive medication.
- Let us know about your medications and allergies, and avoid scheduling right before a major event in case of minor swelling or bruising.
Recovery Timeline
Here is what to expect as you heal and your results settle in.
Day of treatment
Expect mild swelling, tenderness, and possibly small bruises at the injection sites. A cold compress helps, and you can return to most daily activities.
First 24 to 48 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and pressing on the treated area. Sleeping slightly elevated can reduce swelling.
Days 3 to 7
Most swelling settles, any bruising fades, and the filler begins to soften and integrate for a more natural look.
Two weeks
Your final result is visible once the filler has fully settled — the ideal time for a touch-up review if any adjustment is needed.
6 to 18 months
